Antenati is a project for the new Mustilli line of wines: Cru wines, a high-end selection. In French oenological terminology, the term Cru indicates a specific area, a single vineyard or a small locality that, thanks to its specific climatic, geological and environmental characteristics, produces wines of superior quality and characteristics that are however unique and identifiable. The Grand Cru represents the highest and best quality step of all the Cru. The client asked us for three portraits of the family ancestors reinterpreted in a modern way, with the addition of music. They asked us for a strong impact, for a niche proposal.
So we designed the three labels: each one has a portrait that covers it completely and each portrait is characterised by a make-up symbol of rock & roll printed in UV silk-screen with fluorescent colours. For a double contrast: between ancient and modern and between portrait and element. What came out convinced us, the customer and not only: with the labels of the ancestors of Cantine Mustilli we reached the first place in the Label category of the One More Pack 2018 award.
